Why we love photos. | A Photographer's Education

It's that time of year again! When the two of us step out from behind the camera and become the subjects, educating ourselves and reminding us again how our clients feel when they're getting photos taken. (If you're a photographer we highly recommend this practice to become better yourself.)

This year we learned...

Picking outfits together is a good idea. (When we did it separately we ended up in the same exact color!)

Dressing to the same level of fanciness looks best.

We are totally fine with doing crazy things for a great picture.

Sometimes the unexpected image is your favorite.

We love happy, genuine smiles best.

We totally get that many of our clients rarely get a professional photo session. Some people come to us feeling shy, awkward, or just unsure of where to put their hands (post coming soon!). We like putting ourselves in our clients shoes so that we can help them feel amazing and have a great time with us. Not only do we do this for our clients, but for ourselves too. We love updating our wall with a new print, having a great time with our photographer friend Julianna (thank you so much!), and spending time with each other documenting another year together (how fast it goes!).Some of our favorites...
