Maya & Laura | Lakedale Resort Wedding
The point was set with chairs along the water, an arch was built from logs collected by family in the forest, and the sun was shining. Maya & Laura spent the morning together preparing for the day in the tiny town of Friday Harbor, getting dolled up and then returning to their separate log cabins at Lakedale Resort to dress. Family and friends were bustling about helping one another with hair and makeup as Maya walked the short distance between cabins to meet Laura for the most romantic first look. They were whisked away by golf cart to the ceremony where they beamed in front of their loved ones, giggling and confidant in their love for each other. All the nerves, worry, and butterflies evaporated when the two had their first kiss and walked back up the aisle (and after ceremony kiss of course) because they realized, this, right now, was the reason for the day. All the planning and travel to an island in the sound, to a little oasis among the trees, was for them to proclaim their love for each other, become wives, and start the rest of their lives together as a team. This, was their reason for today, and it was all love.We could literally go on and on about this day, the lovingly planned details and how each bride is so special for her caring, loving nature, but for the sake of not losing our audience we will end with...Maya & Laura, you are not only special to us because we know you, but because we got to witness that transformation in you during your ceremony and we loved every second of it!
