Baby Chick Update

It's official, we've made it to the 3rd trimester and our baby boy is growing fast!Frequently Asked Questions...Are you ready to be parents?Is anyone ever really ready? We're as ready as we can be and will just roll with the punches as they come. Erik still needs to learn to change a diaper...Does he have a name?Baby boy chick is still unnamed, but we have our top 3 choices and are just going to wait to see his face to decide!Is the nursery done?Almost! We fell in love with a few artists on Etsy and went wild decorating his room with fun prints and salvaged frames.How do you feel?Well, Erik has been having some mild pregnancy symptoms like tiredness and pregnancy brain (he keeps putting things in the microwave instead of the fridge). Luckily I had 6 months of an easy pregnancy thanks to my inherited genes, but now that baby's growing so quickly I'm definitely feeling more tired and a little strain on my back. The weirdest thing to happen is that my ears keep getting clogged so I feel deaf 2-3 times a day! And the worst thing to happen is pregnancy insomnia (it's real people). I'm fully awake at 3am sometimes for several hours, but I keep thinking maybe it will be helpful having practice being awake at night once baby boy comes!Any cravings?After my tomato soup faze I definitely loved cheese. Now I'm off both of those things and am loving peanut butter and jelly on toast with a glass of almond milk (even though I haven't eaten peanut butter in almost 3 years!).We are so excited to meet our little guy! It seems like we are in the final lap, sprinting towards the finish line quicker than we thought was possible.Thank you to all of our friends, family, and clients who have been so incredibly supportive and happy for us! ~Erik & Marissa
