Natural Reflectors Part 1 of 3: SNOW

Over the next few weeks we'd like to share how to get amazing photos with natural light using natural reflectors.

Most people don't carry big reflectors to take a selfie, so today we'll be sharing one of our three favorite ways to be cheaters...as if you had a reflector with you! (But if you are interested in using a reflector read our how to.)In honor of the snow storm we encountered in Ohio this past month we made SNOW our number 1 reflector. Seriously though, it's our favorite reflector, especially on a cloudy day. A huge blanket of snow on the ground with a white sky overhead gives the most beautiful, soft, even lighting. If only Seattle got more...Erik's reflector bottom left works just like the snow on the ground...2015-02-27_002...for that soft, even lighting.2015-02-27_004Some of our favorite snowy photos...2015-02-27_005If you get the chance to photograph in snow, make sure you're in shade if it's sunny so that the reflection isn't too intense.2015-02-27_0062015-02-27_0072015-03-03_0012015-02-27_008Erik's parent's dog had to get in on the modeling action too.2015-02-27_003
