Doug & Christine | Magnolia Wedding
When we first met Doug and Christine over coffee they told us about their new home, the location for their backyard wedding. As they were explaining all the details from the view overlooking the water to the pristine backyard we could hardly wait to see this idealistic palace. It was exactly how they described it...perfect, and so lovely for their intimate wedding. This was their special day and everything was right out of a story book. A beautiful bride, handsome groom, sunny Seattle weather, a few frisky pups and all their loved ones around. As Christine walked down the porch steps to meet her man her dress glistened in the sun. When it came time for the vows Christine said she should have kept it short because she's the crier in the relationship. Instead, she wrote a list of 10 things she loved about Doug and made it through her entire stack of notecards eloquently, if not with a few tears added. For Doug's part he had everyone laughing and while the two were sharing words their two dogs came back from a walk and eagerly watched the ceremony from the porch. The rings were passed around to each and every guest to share love and say a few words so that everyone was involved in the ring ceremony. A kiss later and two extremely happy people left the arbor and had a mimosa cheers with their guests. As we escaped with the bride and groom to Discovery Park and the beach right around the corner from their home the reality was that these two people had just committed themselves to a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and a lot of love.Thank you Doug and Christine for letting us witness such a special day. (We're glad the eagles kept the noise down for your ceremony.) ~Erik & Marissa
