Carey & Joe | Lake Union Cafe Wedding
It was Halloween night and Joe, dressed as an old man, was sure he'd win first prize in the costume contest. Little did he know he'd be winning much more. Carey, also eager to win and dressed as Rufio (the leader of the lost boys in Hook), showed up to the same party and smiled at Joe with her competitive nature, sure she'd be the winner. When the votes were cast with Joe in first place and Carey as second she claims she was robbed, but by the end of the night she'd made a lasting impression on Joe. The two saw each other again, minus costumes, and knew that if they were to make this work they'd need to choose couples costumes from now on.Dressed this time as bride and groom Carey and Joe certainly took first place. Carey had even come prepared with an outfit change. Her first dress had been worn by Joe's mom, and with a few alterations to fit her style the now shortened dress (which happened to be the perfect dance-all-night-dress) was revealed as Joe's mom wept. A quick change with her sisters and mom at St. John's and Carey was swept off down the aisle toward Joe. Their ceremony was sealed with a kiss and their marriage began as Joe raised the roof. All along, through all the planning, Joe & Carey had been focused on making this day a celebration of their marriage with family and friends…which is exactly what they got. Friendship Fireball toasts were had, dancing was required by all, and a day they'll never forget was celebrated with people they love.Thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration!
