Milestone Weekend | San Francisco
As the fall loomed near I was getting more and more morose about my upcoming birthday, a big one, until one of my dear friends Julie suggested we all celebrate our 30th birthdays together with a much needed girls weekend in San Francisco. We definitely all needed this trip and after much debate and planning (mostly on our host Julie's side) we all landed where summer was in full bloom and friends were abundant. (I have to take a moment here and note for the record that Amanda is not turning 30 this year otherwise she'd have my head.)
Most of this group grew up together and were best friends as early as elementary school, whereas I was lucky to meet up with them in high school and watch this gaggle of girls transform into women. We don't get together as a group as often as we'd like (considering the group of 7 pictured are from 6 states!) and some couldn't make it (although we're hoping they'll join us next time), but when we do it's as if we just saw each other in the halls of WKHS yesterday...except we're married, have babies, and are 30.
Here's a small peek into our weekend together...sunsets bundled up with blankets and secret solo cups...
wineries and tastings...
lunch with a view...
more Napa wineries...
the ladies...
sailing and happy hour on the bay...
lots of laughing...
a vigorous hike and picnic in the park...
and a unison blowing out of candles with good friends.
Couldn't have asked for a better weekend (thanks Julie!). Until the next trip ladies. xoxo ~Marissa
ps-Turning 30 isn't so bad after all when you get to do it with people you love.
