Kim Family - Walking at the Beach | Point Defiance Park

Just another day at the beach! Except because it's the Northwest people wear long sleeves & jeans and no one swims this time of year unless you have a wetsuit. Although we did see one lone seal enjoying a swim! We met the Kim family at Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park. If you've never been to Point Defiance, you must, it's absolutely gorgeous and we were thrilled the Kims suggested it for their family photo session.

We had met Seann back when we lived in Chicago through a mutual friend (shout out Manu!) and when we saw that he had moved with his family to Tacoma around the same time as us we had to meet up. We absolutely adore his wife Hannah and fell in love with Charlotte, her personality is truly larger than life and makes us laugh. Charlotte just celebrated her first birthday and Hannah wanted to get an updated family picture for holiday cards. We met on a sunny, but chilly morning (rain was forecasted so when Hannah saw sun in the morning we moved we rushed to the beach to catch the good weather). Charlotte loved playing with her parents, especially anything in the air- swinging, being thrown up high, or hanging upside down. This allowed us to capture some great candid moments. Thanks Seann, Hannah, & Charlotte. We were so happy to be able to capture your family at the beach!

The coolest thing was that Charlotte was walking on her own confidently! She showed us her new skills again and again!
