Behind the Scenes with the Ciccarellis 2019

Better late than never? Haha, it's March, but you know, just decided to go through our BTS photos from last year! So, if you're new to us than welcome to the silliest post we do all year. We love working together and our adventures in wedding and lifestyle photography are documented when we work as a team and actually remember to snap some behind the scenes pics of each other!First up: the action shotOr should we say action stance...when you just need to get a little lower, but have too many bags to bend over.CiccarelliPhotography_3907All in a day's work, climbing logs over water and showing our couples a sneak peek on the day of their wedding!CiccarelliPhotography_3908Taking in all the details. (Even if you have to sit halfway outside the door.)CiccarelliPhotography_3914CiccarelliPhotography_3909Directing from above the crowd!CiccarelliPhotography_3910Standing on chairs is a must.CiccarelliPhotography_3911Those long veils aren't going to move themselves! (But we never understand why our faces are so crazy when we do this...)CiccarelliPhotography_3912CiccarelliPhotography_3915This is called: How many things can you carry at once. 1. bag 2. camera 3. flowers 4. dressCiccarelliPhotography_3916We meet the best vendors that we're so lucky to call friends. We like to call them our co-workers!CiccarelliPhotography_3917Let's play "who's hands are those?" (Cannot tell you how many of these I've pinned over the years.)CiccarelliPhotography_3918Onto our next set of photos...The Lighting Test.We always like to test out a spot prior to shooting our couple so we don't waste their time if the spot looks bad with distractions or lighting. Typically Erik ends up being the model and he's either eating...CiccarelliPhotography_3919...bored of me saying, "a little to your left, okay now to the right", or he surprises me with a smile.CiccarelliPhotography_3930And if he ever gets me to model I'm never serious.CiccarelliPhotography_3921That one time we both tested a shot at the same time...CiccarelliPhotography_3922A new series this year called..."this is how we looked getting that shot".Erik is a big fan of getting low with a wide angle lens to get an interesting perspective.CiccarelliPhotography_3923He can also get high (no pun intended here) to get a super-flattering angle from above.CiccarelliPhotography_3924When getting a little lower with the splits plus a reflector hooked under the arm does the trick. Thank goodness for stretchy pants!CiccarelliPhotography_3931And our final set of the year, Erik's all time favorite, goes to photo bombs! It's his tradition. Our couples are pretty used to his antics by this point thank goodness!CiccarelliPhotography_3925He even managed to get his camera to photo bomb this year.CiccarelliPhotography_3926CiccarelliPhotography_3927He definitely upped his game this year and tried to wait for the most awkward moment to step into the frame.CiccarelliPhotography_3928Okay, I got one too! But it was accidental. Trying to show a photo while running from behind because we have one minute left before we need to leave. Life of a wedding photographer = running about 7/8 hours of the day.CiccarelliPhotography_3929Thanks to all of our 2019 couples, friend-vendors, and families! We couldn't have such amazing photo bombs or behind the scenes pics without you, your laughs, your willingness to have fun and just general happiness. We're so happy to do what we do because of you! Here's to another great year ahead (we're almost to 10 years in business!). Thank you! ~Erik & Marissa
